DVB BOX IMPORT PROCEDURE INTO VIETNAM
A DVB box may look like a simple consumer electronics device, but import dossiers often fail at four points: generic goods description, wrong HS between a communication-function set-top box and a standalone DVB receiver, missing ICT conformity dossier, or unreviewed Wi-Fi/Bluetooth module. Any mismatch among Invoice, Packing List, catalogue, datasheet and label may lead to document requests, customs query, delayed clearance and DEM/DET. SCOPE OF APPLICATION
This article applies only to DVB box – a digital TV signal receiving/decoding device, usually without display, connected to TV/external monitor via HDMI/AV and receiving DVB-T/T2, DVB-C or DVB-S/S2 depending on the model.

CLASSIFICATION & TECHNICAL IDENTIFICATION
DVB box should be identified by main function, signal standard, hardware configuration, ports, power supply and goods condition. Generic names such as “TV box” or “set-top box” may lead to wrong HS, specialized policy, QCVN/TCVN and labelling requirements.

Does importing a DVB box require a permit?
Do not conclude based on the trade name alone. Review model, signal standard, communication function, Wi-Fi/Bluetooth, encryption and applicable ICT list.
Is quality inspection or conformity declaration required?
It may be required if the product is listed as ICT Group 2 goods or subject to relevant QCVN such as DVB-T2. Compare catalogue, datasheet and applicable standard.
What is the HS code for DVB box?
