IMPORT PROCEDURE FOR FORMULA MILK
Formula milk is a high-control food category because it involves infants/young children, product declaration registration, imported food safety inspection and specific labelling rules. Wrong HS code, missing declaration receipt, inconsistent label/age group or late quarantine review may lead to documentary queries, channel inspection, loss of C/O preferential duty and DEM/DET. This article provides an E2E compliance map for HS code, duties, food safety policy, documentation and pre-ETA risk control.
QUICK FACTS
| Review item | Reference direction | Risk to block before ETA |
|---|---|---|
| Product name | Formula milk in powder or liquid form, retail-packed; distinguish infant formula, follow-up formula, growing-up milk and medical nutrition. | A generic description such as “milk powder” may cause wrong HS, declaration route and labelling requirements. |
